Three Simple Tips To Overcome Negative Thoughts


 


If you are a negative minded person, then there is a chance that you have a lot of negative incidents or experiences in your life. We ultimately become what we experience. If you can manage to receive good experiences, it is possible for you to live a happy and peaceful life. It is just a matter of time. Stop yourself from getting negative influences by the following:

·       Confront and Distract
Whenever a negative or compulsive thought comes in mind, confront it, correct it and distract yourself involving your five senses. You can have snacks or drinks, watch T.V or movies, listen to music, call your loved one, anything that makes you feel good. Encourage yourself to stay positive.

·       Avoid Unpleasant Consequences
Watch your words carefully. Take 5 minutes before responding to an unpleasant situation. Prepare a conversation to stay under control and handle situation mindfully, in those 5 minutes. Then proceed.

·       Accept Yourself as You Are
First, think of all your troubles for 5 minutes. And then think, you are all right, physically, mentally and socially, despite all the complication you are facing (Does not matter how down you are feeling right now). No matter what, just focus on your strength.
